readers

i've mentioned in a couple of posts that i have "mystery readers."  i know this because of the wonderful blogger feature called "stats."  i am able to see how many people have viewed my blog, from what website they came from (if any), what operating system they used, and what country they are in.  this is all pretty cool, until paranoia sets in...

in the last week i've had 6 people in Australia view my blog.  that is cool.  then several people in asia viewed my blog (hong kong, south korea, etc).  i don't know if the people in other countries are viewing my blog from the referring website (morgan's blog) or if they have wandered onto it in some other way.  i'm not sure how my words translate to other languages (if that is even what blogger does).

so the paranoia?  who the hell are these people reading my blog?  why are they reading it?  what are they thinking about me?  do they think i'm crazy? bitchy? whiney?  are they crazy stalkers?  are they laughing at me?

i'm such a contradiction...  i've always wanted blog readers, but now that i have some i want them to go away.  the difference though is that i want people to subscribe and not be mystery readers.  i want people to comment (not anonymously).

anyway, since i'm feeling paranoid today i'm thinking of making this blog private so only official  "readers" can view the content.  i don't care if someone i don't know wants to follow my blog, but for some reason, people reading my blog across the oceans freaks me out.
