decisions, decisions

i had my interview today.  it went well.  i knew four out of the six people interviewing me.  you would think that i would feel less nervous since i was familiar with the school and the people there, but i think it made me more nervous.  i answered the questions honestly and seemed to get some good feedback.  the job would be a 4th grade self-contained (all subjects) position.  i have a lot of 4th grade experience (4 years).  although i am more comfortable teaching reading and writing, i did a good job when i taught all the subjects before.  i would just need a refresher of sorts.

anyway, i probably won't hear anything until monday.  this sucks for several reasons.  one, i'm impatient.  two, i'm supposed to let the day care know my decision by the end of the week (which would be tomorrow).

i keep going through what ifs...

  • what if i am not offered the 4th grade job?
  • what if i am not offered the 4th grade job, accept the day care job and then get another offer from something else i've applied for?
  • what if i can't handle working two jobs (the day care and the store)?
  • what if i can't make ends meet with the day care job (remember, i've crunched numbers)?
  • what if i turn down the day care job and nothing else comes along?
  • what if i accept the wrong job, and i'm totally unhappy for 9 months?
see, i'm making myself crazy!

decisions are difficult for me.  even the simple ones like what to eat for dinner mess with my head sometimes.  you can just imagine what i'm going through right now...

more updates to come...
