* monday night i started to feel bad. i went to bed before 9 pm. that means very little school work got done.
* tuesday i had to leave work early because my head was hurting so bad that i couldn't work. i think i had a migraine because i felt nauseous with the headache. i came home an rested, but still didn't feel that great until i work up on wednesday.
* wednesday was a tricky day. it looked like things were coming around. i felt better, was working on my paper, and i decided on the coach purse vs. the iPad mini. we went to chili's after buying the purse and i had a coupon for a free molten cake. see--what a great day!
...until 9 pm when i discovered that alex had LICE! OMG! lice gross me out. i would rather clean up vomit than do what i had to do. we went to walgreen's, bought a "lice kit" and came home. i scrubbed his hair with the shampoo (where i saw lice running around--GROSS!) i used the comb on his hair, which pulled his hair and made him cry. i used the disinfectant spray on EVERYTHING i could in the apartment. i stripped all the beds, sprayed all the mattresses, gathered up every towel. we were up until close to midnight. i was NOT a happy camper! poor alex kept trying to make me laugh by saying silly things (he's so resilient).
* thursday started off with 6 loads of laundry at $1.25 each in the apartment laundry room. i was washing everything i could. i called where he is at camp this week. the lady told me he couldn't come without a note saying he was lice free. she recommended a lice squad place, which i called as soon as they opened at 9 AM. we got there at 10 and they set to work on us. they checked me--luckily i was lice free or i would have freaked out. alex still had a lot of nits. i got a lot of it, but not all of it (i didn't know what i was doing). so after they got his hair clean and i learned a lot about lice, i paid them $170 and we set on our way. i took him to camp (he really wanted to go) and i went to work (i didn't want to go, but have not worked a full day this week except monday). everything relaxed for us once the lice incident was over.
* today is friday! i am hoping today goes like it should--nice and easy. J and i are going to introduce our kids to each other to night by taking them to chuck e cheese. that should be fun. the weekend is full of fun stuff for alex, so if he's happy, i'll be happy. i've just gotta find some time to work on this paper.
