two updates and an observation

we took alex to another eye doctor today. by we i mean wayne, my grandma, and myself. the doctor checked out alex and said the same thing that the last doctor said. he said he needs the frontalis suspension. he said the eye liff (which i had done) can't be done on alex. alex doesn't have any muscles in his lids. so we're going to go through with the procedure. it is the least evasive of the two. it's out patient and alex should be up and playing that day. the doctor said the procedure takes about 40 minutes, but we'd be in the building for a couple of hours. when are we doing this? that's up to wayne's insurance company. we have to wait for them to approve it. i'll keep you posted...

A random observation:

* When you're in love, the radio is full of love songs--happy songs. Each song reminds you of the person you are in love with. When you're mending a broken heart, the radio is full of broken heart songs--sad songs. Each song reminds you of the person you lost. Why is that?

On the job front: I went to Jewish Family Services yesterday. the lady there was very helpful. they have a series of workshops starting up, which she encouraged me to attend. she gave me some websites to look at for jobs. she helped make some minor changes to my resume. she also offered me an opportunity to take the birkman test, which will help me figure out my interests and skills. i get to take the test for free on july 21st.

I have an interview tomorrow. it's at an old folk's home in katy. i'm worried that it is too far to drive, but i'll find out. it's for an activity coordinator. it's a group interview. i'm going to explore all options, so i'll be going to this interview at 1:30 PM tomorrow. i will keep you posted...
