well i did until i woke up with a giant pimple on my face. it's not in the center of my head or nose, but it's disgusting and it hurts. i have the face of a 15 year old, not a 34 year old.
then the person who was going to make the cupcakes for my party on saturday tells me that she may not be able to make it because of work. i'm not mad, but now i have to figure something else out. last year i made my own cake--kinda pathetic and i don't want to do it again. i emailed 3 brothers bakery to see how much they charge for cupcakes and asked if they can make them look like bowling balls (yeah--i'm having a bowling party!) we'll see what they say.
speaking of my party... in the last week 3 people have told me that they can't make it. since only a handful of people have RSVP'd it looks like it'll be a 4 person party (that includes me)! i hate when people back out at the last moment. i know things happen, but when you're in the birthday girl seat it sucks that people can't make your party.
tomorrow will be pretty uneventful... i've got a new jacket i'm going to wear and i should look pretty cute (except for the pimple). i'm hoping to go to my mom's but we'll see what happens. my family celebrated my birthday yesterday with mother's day. i got the butterfly quilt and shams i wrote about in a previous post. i can't wait to put them on the bed. i won't do that until i move into the house and get the double bed out of storage.
my parents also gave me some of my sister's jewelry. it was a nice gesture, but i don't know if i'll wear it anytime soon. it feels a little early to me. i'm glad i have it though.
